Today is the first time in a long time where I actually woke up and did not feel tired, which is suprising because I slept in pretty late Monday morning. I feel I am in a normal academic routine. The next step is working in some gym time at least three times a week. I tend to think better when I have some sort ritualistic fitness in my life. I think I may start going to the gym next week. I don't want to completely shock my body.
This week I had Monday off giving me a three day weekend. If I were to describe my weekend in one word it would be. . . . . ."fun". . . . and probably "chill", which is really two words but I making the rules to this game. It was equally parts fun and chill.
Friday
On Friday, my girlfriend and I went on a journey around Tampa. First, we went to the hipster capital of Florida, Hyde Park to walk around. Hyde Park is a very awesome area, however, I think it would have been more fun at night. During the day, there isn't much going on. We walked around for awhile and admired the townhomes and coffee shops. Sheena, my girlfriend, and I started to get hungry so we left the area to grab some lunch. After much debate, we settled on Jason's Deli. Jason's Deli has some of the best sandwiches I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Also, the portions are very large. It is, in essence, the best value proposition in terms of cost and benefit. I ordered the Ranchero wrap, and Sheena ordered the California Club. After devouring our lunch, we headed to the mall only to find out that we didn't want to be there. (Over the past month, we have gone to the mall too many times). We departed from the mall to visit a less structured enviorment, the Internation Flea Market. At the flea market, we spent our time browsing through everything from knock-off purses, to decorative crack pipes, to discount underwear. The flea market is definitely an interesting visit. When we left the flea market, Sheena and I realized that we had spent the majority of the afternoon walking around. We then decided we would stay in for the evening and watch one of our favorite television shows, Dexter. We had watched up to episode five and the plan was to only watch a few episodes before calling it a night. Things did not go as planned and we ended watching 5 hours of Dexter, which concluded the season. Season 4 was that riveting.
Saturday
Saturday, my family, Sheena, and I celebrated my niece's birthday at Pump It Up. There were about a dozen kids running around in mad hysterics jumping on everything and not following directions. It was incrediebly hectic but fun. The best, and most intersting aspect of the inflatable playground, Pump it Up, is the fact that adults can participate in the activities, as well. Needless to say, I had a blast. After Pump it Up, Sheena and I had worked up an apetite. We decided to go to one of our favorite sushi resturaunts, Samurai Blue. After we ate we planned on walking around Ybor City but it started to rain. After much debate, we realized that we were fairly tired. We went our seperate ways for the evening.
Sunday and Monday
Sunday and Monday were pretty uneventful. I went to the movies and saw Book of Eli with my mom. The movie was ok. I was a bit underwhelmed but it had its moments. My mom was into it though. Other than that I watched a few movies and ran a some errands.
That's pretty much my weekend. . . .
- I'll snake a cold cruiser
