01/11/2010 - Spring Semester Begins

One of my New Year's resolutions is to write more. I'm going to try to write at least five times a week if not more. I feel getting my thoughts out will keep me sane.

Today was the first day of the Spring Semester at the college I attend. The only class I had today was prinicples of finance, which was scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Last night I set my alarm to go off at 9:30 a.m so I could get accustomed to waking up early. When the alarm went off, I hit the snooze button and continued to snooze until about 11:00 a.m. So much for getting up early.

I left my house a half hour. I wanted to have enough time to be able to find a parking spot. USF parking is notorious for being absolutely terrible. The school paper did a story last year comparing the amount of parking permits issued with the actual amount of spaces available. I don't remember the exact number but the permits issued outnumbered the number of parkings spots by some outrageous number. . . . but I digress. I was surpisingly able to find a parking spot fairly quickly and the campus seemed significantly less crowded. It may have been my imagination, so I would take that last statement with a grain of salt. I hung out around the business building until my class started.

I normally enter the classroom atleast a half hour to forty five minutes early to an adequete seat. To me, there is nothing worse than having a terrible seat. This also allows me time to look through notes, read the paper, surf the web, and "relax" before class. Entering the auditorium, I saw that many other students had the same idea. Priniciples of finance was incredibly crowded. I shouldn't be surprised because this happens every semester on the first day. Hopefully, as the semester progresses the crowds will dim down.

First impressions of the class. . . . . It seems fairly easy with the proper effort. I feel I could get an "A" if I stayed on top of the work. The proffesor seems to have a strong grasp of the subject, which is always good. He may be technologicaly inept. . . . .

After class, I came home and watched Law and Order: SVU via Netflix. SVU is quite possibly the most watchable show I have come across in past couple of months, which is kind of lame considering that this show has been around since the turn of the century. I watched about three episodes before taking a nap. I really didn't want to take a nap but the day caught up to me. During the winter break, most of my days consisted of waking up at noon, playing Modern Warfare 2 until late afternoon, spending time with my girlfriend, and playing more Modern Warfare 2. I slept for around thirty minutes, ate some dinner, and prepared everything ready for tomorrow.

That's pretty much my day. . . . More to come tomorrow

- I'm going in for the kill. . . . I'm doing it for the thrill. . .
